I have had very sensitive skin since I could remember. My cheeks are very rosy (natural, although people sometimes say it looks like I put too much blush on), and begin to burn and redden in even the slightest environmental changes. If it's cold or windy out, of course my skin reacts, my cheeks (especially on the cheek bone and jaw) flush, as well as when I'm in largely-populated rooms like restaurants and packed auditoriums. It's not just on the outside, I always feel my cheeks burn and sometimes my ears as well. I don't have my ears pierced because even the slightest amount of pressure applied make them hurt and turn blood-red. I never put my hair up either.
My question is this; do I have Rosacea, or is it just a natural, normal effect, nothing to worry about. If you think I do have Rosacea, then how can I cure it or make it better. Also, any products made just for people with whatever it is I have (makeup and cleansers)? Please provide as much information as you can, thank you.
Sensitive skin or Rosacea?
Rosacea comes and stays unless treated. If you are a very fair skinned person - very light complexion - and tend to flush easily it may just be your personality trait! My daughter is very fair and often flushes red when embarrassed, excited, nervous, scared, sad or from crying! Everyones face can become red from wind and cold. If it just comes on you and you can relate it to an emotion and it goes away afterward then it is just a part of who you are and it is nothing to worry about. Many people find a woman that blushes charming. Many people also have those bumps on their arms. They get no heads!! I have often heard them referred to as dry skin bumps! Try a moisturizer made for sensitive skin such as one that is fragrance free - contains no perfume! If however this redness comes and stays you may have a skin condition that needs diagnosing by a doctor!! We cannot see it and are not qualified to guess what it might be! But I can tell you that if it is a skin condition the sooner you see a doctor the easier it will be to treat it successfully! Good Luck!!
Reply:If you have sensitive skin, do not use facial washes or soap; instead use a light, hypoallergenic cleansing lotion. Use a moisturizer to strengthen your skin and provide a barrier against irritants. Make sure you use an non perfumed moisturizer, which will not irritate your skin.check out http://tipsfromruby-skincare.blogspot.co...
