I have really sensitive skin and wanted to know if Bare Minerals would irritate it? The closest Sephora is 2 hours away so I really don't want to drive to just test it. Where my nose meets my face even if I rub the area lightly (including when I'm washing my face) it will be basically infected the next day and if I wash my face more than once a day with a really mild cleanser it will break out and get excessively dry. I heard Bismuth in Bare Minerals irritates some skin- would it probably irritate my skin?
Bare Minerals for sensitive skin?
I wouldn't risk Bare Minerals if you have sensitive skin. It contains Bismuth which is a natural form of arsenic and cause a lot of irritation for those with sensitive skin and acne.
I have sensitive skin as well and could not handle the bare minerals product. I am now using a wonderful mineral makeup called kms mineral essentials. I love how my skin looks and they have the most beautiful shades to choose from. It is a pure mineral makeup and it lasts me through the day.
Reply:My skin is pretty sensitive and I used to breakout easily with everything that I ever put on my face, but since I started using Bare Minerals, my skin has cleared up and is much smoother. I would definitely recommend it because it contains all natural ingredients, so it shouldn't irritate your skin at all.
Reply:I just bought the Bare Minerals starter kit and It was sooo perfect for my skin soo soft and very blendable. It was also somthing that didnt look fake like with makup you never want to overdo it. And it is perfect for sensitive skin because all it is... bare minerals you can go to sleep with it on your face and its really good for your skin. Well hope it works for you and good luck!
Reply:I have extremely sensitive skin and Bare Minerals didn't iritate it after my initial new makeup days. With all new makeup my face takes a few days to get used to the switch, but after the first two days, I was fine. I used it for over a year and had no skin sensitivity to it. I have recenltly switched to an airbrush system, but since that takes almost twice as long to put on I more than likely will go back to Back Minerals. The only real draw back to this makeup is that it can get a little messy with powder flying. But overall a great product!!
Reply:I have sensitive skin, too. Use a good moisturizer and you should be A-OK! love the stuff. enjoy.
Reply:There are some cosmetics in the grocery stores that have minerals.
Neutrogena is one that I can think of. Give it a try before you drive 2 hours and pay $50 bucks for some stuff.
