Does Dove Sensitive Skin Foaming Cleanser work for Acne?

I have tried many different acne cleansers, but they just work for a while then stop...does anyone know if Dove Sensitive Skin Foaming Cleanser helps clear acne prone skin? Or are there any other tips/suggestions/products that can help clear acne?

AND...what can work for arm, back and chest acne?

Does Dove Sensitive Skin Foaming Cleanser work for Acne?
I don't care for he Dove brands though there are ALL types of skin. I think Neutrogena has the best facial products: scrubs, washes, toners, moisturizers, etc. Also St. Ives has good products. I used to use the "Pro-Activ" stuff but it started costing too much $$$$. It really did clear up my face however.

Adult Acne-Sensitive Skin?

I have sensitive skin and would like to use a product to clear my African American skin and even out the tone. Any recommendations for me? I've used Pro-Active and it was phenomenal until about 1 week later then for some reason it reverted back.

Adult Acne-Sensitive Skin?
i would just go to a dermatologist, cuz i have problem skin and have wasted money on products that don't work, so just go, it's worth it in the end.

Very sensitive skin...does anyone have some suggestions?

I have extremley sensitive skin and have a very hard time finding any products that don't make it go red and blotchy....I especially have a hard time finding a sunscreen I can use. Does anyone have any moisturizers, sunscreen, etc suggestions that might work or will help with the redness?

Very sensitive skin...does anyone have some suggestions?
I have really sensitive skin too, every time I try a new product out I either break out or turn red. Right now I use Origins "Checks and Balances" face wash and Laura Mercier moisturizing cream. The face was works great, it doesn't dry out my skin or leave it with a greasy film. The face lotion works great, never making me feel greasy and it has SPF in it too. If you are naturally red, try using Benefit's "Bluff Dust". Its a yellow loose powder that covers up redness, it lasts forever and I love it. Good luck!
Reply:1.The most important thing to do is to stay out of the sun for long periods of time and wear sunscreen as needed

2.Taking proper precautions like avoiding anything that causes breakouts and being very selective in choosing your skin care product can help manage your sensitive skin

3.Realize when you are stressed or getting stressed and stop it before it gets out of contro
Reply:Clinique Honey.
Reply:My daughter has Diabetes and she cannot have anything in her lotions or she gets a rash we go to Sphora they have something called Naked or raw something like that it has nothing in it.Lookit up on the net.
Reply:My daughter has very sensitive skin, have to cover the inside metal rivets of jeans so they do not touch her. She has been to several dermatologists and her medicine cabinet looks like a pharmacy. When we wash her clothes, use a liquid detergent with no fragrance. Run the wash through a second rinse to make sure all soap is washed out. Add vinegar to this rinse in place of fabric softener. All body products, read the ingredients, you want one with no more than 8 ingredients. Aveeno is a good brand for this, but there are others. When you are done showering, pat dry your skin, do not rub. While the skin is still partially damp, rub in a very good moisturizing lotion, remember less than 8 ingredients. Also take fish oil capsules, this helps keep your skin moisturized, and drink plenty of water during the day. Most people will disagree with this, sunlight is good for your skin, in limited amounts. Might want to consider tanning, not long enough to get brown, just enough to help your skin. You might want to even consider getting a light therapy light, they are around $150 but are well worth the price, especially during dreary winter days
Reply:Use products designed for babies like J %26amp; J or Waterbabies sunscreen

Also Arbonne has a skin care line designed for babies that is good for sensitive skin

Almay is also pretty good for sensitive skin
Reply:you should call your doctor.. im sure she/he will have a med you can take to help with that red blotchy ness... but i dont know about the moisturizers sorry... oh ps.. my face gets like that too.. i drink loads of water it helps real good = )

Omega 3 and oily/sensitive skin?

I have very sensitive, and also, rather oily skin. I also breakout fairly often, and wanted to try Omega 3 supplements, as I heard they are great for the skin, and clear acne, thus I though tit would clear sebum (oil) as well. However, oddly enough I am hearing two things - that is improves oily skin, and, that it makes it worse! I am not sure what to believe. I am curious if anyone else out there has taken Omega 3 fish oil supplements, and what it did, if anything, to their skin? Thank you.

Omega 3 and oily/sensitive skin?
Omega-3 is good for your skin, joints, weight loss,anti-aging,Diabetes,your heart, brain function,it is an anti- inflammatory and the list goes on and on.Take a good multi-vitamin along with it.
Reply:Me and my sister drink silk soy milk with omega-3 in it all the time. I don't breakout but it has improved the texture of my skin greatly, I have dry/oily combination skin. My sister on the other hand, suffers from acne, and this has improved her skin. She doesn't breakout as much as usual but she also washes her face twice a day. Drink lots of water to and keep a healthy diet. Good luck!

Foundation for sensitive skin, med-to full coverage ?

Looking for product recommendations.

- Preferably Liquid Foundation

Thanks.

Foundation for sensitive skin, med-to full coverage ?
I like maybelline pure makeup it is nice and soothing and feels great on your skin. Once I put that on I put loose powder over it to keep it in place.
Reply:go to sephora !

all their products are made the best

a consultant would and can easily help yuo find soething perfect for you...

i kno you said no powder, but bare minerals is great %26amp; lets your skin breathe better than a liquid would..

Reply:Smashbox Foundation is awesome. I love it, it's light and it works really well, though it is a bit pricey.

There's also clinique which I also like that is cheaper, but still works wonders:

Reply:I use bare essentials and sheer cover because the liquid sits in the lines on you face and makes it look like you are wearing a mask but these are sort of powder foundations but they are loose and work well, and u can sleep in them without breaking out. They also have SPF15
Reply:I have the best product for you ! BEE LUSCIOUS COSMETICS Liquid Powder Mineral Foundation it has everything you need. Coverage, long lasting, does not clog your pores , is truly a healthy alternative and gorgeous colors that just melt into your own skin tones. They also have matching pressed powders. I highly recommend using this line of products.

I have sensitive skin, and I need help??

I have very sensitive skin, and I'm afraid to try a skin product. Because, when I tried this product, my nose became very dry, and I had a pimple on my face, with mucus around it. It was disgusting. Do you know any face wash I can use? I'm not trying to get rid of pimples or zits. I just want a clean face.

I have sensitive skin, and I need help??
Use something that is natural and does not contain any chemicals. I am currently using a product like this and the results are wonderful! You might want to check out Aveda ... their products are natural. My friend with really sensitive skin used to use Aveda and now she uses what I use and LOVES it! If you want, you can email me for more info about the product that I use at bella7845@yahoo.com. Good luck!
Reply:Try the CLINQUE range of products.
Reply:Well with you not saying what product it was that caused that reaction we can just ramble off some names and hope there not ones you tried and had problems with. I to have sensitive skin and I use St. Ives facial scrub for sensitive skin. It comes in different skin types also like oily, dry, ect.
Reply:Clinique is probably a good option, maybe try Aveeno...
Reply:Ponds has really good products. Use something that says "sensitive skin" on it. My nose can get dried out really easily too so I use the Ponds lotion everyday and it is great for my skin, doesn't make me break out and keeps my skin moisturized w/o oil etc. If you just want a clean face I would suggest only washing it at night so you don't excessively and unnecessarily clean it. Wash it at night, don't use a moisturizer so your natural oils work over the night and then rinse w/ warm water in the morning and put some moisturizer on.
Reply:try Avenuo it works soo good! doctors tell people to use it and it works, you can get it like any where target, CVS.

hope you like it
Reply:if you have that senaitive skin you should see a doctor about that ok.

Husband's sensitive skin?

My husband has very sensitive skin and following shaving (usually every second day), he breaks out in a really sore raxor burn type of rash. He showers before shaving so his skin is more relaxed. Can you offer some great pointers and tips for avoiding this painful rash?? His raxor blades also isn't the problem as they are changed frequently.

Husband's sensitive skin?
I've found the perfect solution. Massage thoroughly with olive oil which is very beneficial to the skin and will heal the razor burn. Then before shaving apply oil and instead of using shaving creams - many of which contain harsh chemicals and are not good for the skin - and a waste of money, simply apply a body lotion on top of the oil and this will properly lubricate the skin and he you will get the best shave he could ever have and with no razor burn. Since using on my very sensitive skin even if I do cut myself it heals really quick. You do not need after shave products many of which also have harmful ingredients and are not good for the skin and a waste of money. You do not need to remove oil - in any case most gets absorbed into skin. Simply lightly wash off body lotion with water and a little soap and dry. Even if I shave against the "grain" of the hair growth I do not get razor burn. Try it - you will be happy that you did. Of course you should not apply too much pressure while shaving and avoid shaving against the ‘grain’ of the hair growth until the burn has healed..
Reply:try to apply some vaseline before so skins soft but not to greasy where he cant shave it, ummm try nair see if that would work i know its not shaving but it may help him on the whole rash thing
Reply:My husband always had razor burn after shaving! My husband shave while he's in the shower and has been using Arbonne shaving cream and face wash I bought him the whole set but that those are the only two thing he uses! But he love the shaving cream and his face and stubble has never been softer! I love it too!

Bare Minerals for sensitive skin?

I have really sensitive skin and wanted to know if Bare Minerals would irritate it? The closest Sephora is 2 hours away so I really don't want to drive to just test it. Where my nose meets my face even if I rub the area lightly (including when I'm washing my face) it will be basically infected the next day and if I wash my face more than once a day with a really mild cleanser it will break out and get excessively dry. I heard Bismuth in Bare Minerals irritates some skin- would it probably irritate my skin?

Bare Minerals for sensitive skin?
I wouldn't risk Bare Minerals if you have sensitive skin. It contains Bismuth which is a natural form of arsenic and cause a lot of irritation for those with sensitive skin and acne.

I have sensitive skin as well and could not handle the bare minerals product. I am now using a wonderful mineral makeup called kms mineral essentials. I love how my skin looks and they have the most beautiful shades to choose from. It is a pure mineral makeup and it lasts me through the day.
Reply:My skin is pretty sensitive and I used to breakout easily with everything that I ever put on my face, but since I started using Bare Minerals, my skin has cleared up and is much smoother. I would definitely recommend it because it contains all natural ingredients, so it shouldn't irritate your skin at all.
Reply:I just bought the Bare Minerals starter kit and It was sooo perfect for my skin soo soft and very blendable. It was also somthing that didnt look fake like with makup you never want to overdo it. And it is perfect for sensitive skin because all it is... bare minerals you can go to sleep with it on your face and its really good for your skin. Well hope it works for you and good luck!
Reply:I have extremely sensitive skin and Bare Minerals didn't iritate it after my initial new makeup days. With all new makeup my face takes a few days to get used to the switch, but after the first two days, I was fine. I used it for over a year and had no skin sensitivity to it. I have recenltly switched to an airbrush system, but since that takes almost twice as long to put on I more than likely will go back to Back Minerals. The only real draw back to this makeup is that it can get a little messy with powder flying. But overall a great product!!
Reply:I have sensitive skin, too. Use a good moisturizer and you should be A-OK! love the stuff. enjoy.
Reply:There are some cosmetics in the grocery stores that have minerals.

Neutrogena is one that I can think of. Give it a try before you drive 2 hours and pay $50 bucks for some stuff.

What is the most effective for sensitive skin?

I was just wondering if vitamin e, or aloe is more effective on sensitive skin.

Now as far as what were using it for I'm talking shaving gels. Right now I use a shave gel (edge advanced shave gel) with extra moisture with vitamin e. But I'm interested in trying out the sensitive skin formula edge sells but, it doesn't have vitamin e in it just aloe.

And this is pretty important as weird of a question as it is. I unfortunatly have super sensitive skin, so naturally if I don't use the right products for shaving, the next day after I shave my face will look absolutely horrible.

What is the most effective for sensitive skin?
My brother used to buy a creamy shaving lotion for sensitive skin from Nivea. Give it a try! BTW if your skin is sensitive you need something creamy not a shaving gel.

Dry sensitive skin?

My baby has dry sensitive skin. What product line for babies should I use?

Dry sensitive skin?
My little girl has eczema and I have found that the Aveeno line is great for her. They have oatmeal bath that helps moisturize her in the tub as well as fragrance free wash and lotions that work great.

Here is their baby line:

http://aveeno.com/nameStateSearchAction....

Hope this helps!!
Reply:Aveeno worked great for my kids
Reply:Do not use Johnson and Johsnon, Baby Magic, Huggies, or any of that other chemical crap. Use either Jason, California Baby, Arbonne, or Burts Bees. Those are the best!!!!!
Reply:I used Johnson and Johnson Soothing Naturals intense moisture cream for my baby. It was $3 at Wal-Mart. I also heard that Baby Aveno is good to.
Reply:Baby Aveeno works great.
Reply:Aveeno baby or anything that has oatmeal or 24 hour moisturization for newborns....that way the lotion will not come off after bathing.

I, too, would try Aveeno products for the bath or baby wash for overly sensitive skin....same goes for wipes....either Newborn or Pampers Sensitive.
Reply:Aveeno baby, all bath and lotions are great for dry sensitive skin,Ivory laundry soap or any soap with no added scent,be sure to use 100% cotton clothing, wash in hot/warm water and extra rinse all your baby clothing. Also be sure never to use any Downy products, they are the highest in allergy's for babies and adults, you also do not need to use any fabric softener at all for your baby's clothing. If your baby has dry spots on his/her face, elbows or knees a really good remedy is Vaseline right after the bath, this will help lock in the moisture.Good luck and hopefully this will help you.
Reply:aveeeno is good

also what works is rubbing baby oil on there skin every day for about 4-5 days and leaving it on especially every time after a bath and put baby lotion also
Reply:I like Avenno lotion. There aren't as many fragrances.

Here are some tips on dry sensitive skin: not that you asked :)

1. Lotion after every bath. Baby oil clogs pores.

2. Bathe only 2-3 times a week for newborn.

3. Don't use wipes on newborn, use washcloth.

4. Dry patches? diaper rash ointments works great.

Best of lucK!!

Lotion for sensitive skin in swimming pool?

My niece has a very sensitive skin and I am afraid that she would get rashes, allergies from the swimming pool in this rainy season, can someone please suggest some lotion or cream that can be applied on the skin to prevent allergies or infections?

Lotion for sensitive skin in swimming pool?
If she has that sensitive skin, she should avoid chlorinated swimming pools in general. Chlorine is an terrible irritant.

Products for sensitive skin?

I'm looking for skin care products - specifically, toner, foundation and concealer - that I can use on my face though I have sensitive skin (I have eczema). Please name some widely available brands since I don't have access to most of the brands in the US. If you could provide the pH of the products that would be great too. Thanks.

Products for sensitive skin?
BIOELEMENTS. it's sold world wide. they have a cosmecuticle line that works great for sensitive skin like eczema. it works like a makeup and it's good for your skin.
Reply:Weather its a tonner or make-up ALWAYS go for simple ingredient!

Products with too much ingredient is a big NO.

It confuses the skin espasially sensitive skin.

I'm not saying go for a total cheapey, but try one with just a few simple ingredient, while saving your-self a couple pounds or dollers if you live in the u.s lol.

xxxxxxxxxxxx
Reply:BareMinerals. It's an all-natural makeup line. All of the makeup comes in powder form that you apply with a brush. It's great for people with acne or eczema.

You can get it from QVC.com or Sephora...

Try it. You'll never go back to your old makeup :)
Reply:Ninjaaa, your search is over. The products found at aularale.com/7002 are all for sensitive skin and they ship just about anywhere.
Reply:Mineral makeup is best, it's very natural, has awesome wear-ability, is non-cosmogenic, and is oil free, but please think twice before using Bare Minerals (aka Bare Escentuals)! There products contain bismuth which is NOT a healthy mineral and is NOT good for ultra sensitive skin! It resembles arsenic!!! I used this makeup not knowing this fact and it caused me a very bad allergic reaction!

Bismuth (IPA: [ˈbɪzməθ]) is a chemical element that has the symbol Bi and atomic number 83. This heavy, brittle, white crystalline trivalent poor metal has a pink tinge and chemically resembles arsenic and antimony.

I found this makeup and have been using it for 2 years now! It's wonderful! They have 17 foundation colors (way more then the competitors so one is sure to blend and cover your skin flawlessly!) and 5 different finishing powders, choose the one for you skin type! It really works well!

Plus they offer free shipping to the Continental US!

International customers please email for a free shipping quote! (Just include the items you would like and your location!)

Photo sensitive skin!?

a year ago i had visited a doc to get rid of my acne problem. he had prescribed monolox tablets(its a antibiotic) for 3 months. my pimples went off. but i started to get these red itichy rashes on my hands when i went out in sun. he said that my skin has become photo sensitive because of those tablets. he also told that the problem will go away within few months.anyways the problem dint go. i get rashes whenever i go out in sun since then.but now after 1 year, the problem has become more. yesterday i went out in sun, and now i have got lots and lots of rashes on my hands. rashes doesnt come on my face or legs , it only comes on my hands. i dont put any sun screen lotion. neither on my face nor on my hands. has the problem turned out to be something serious?

Photo sensitive skin!?
hey supp... well i have never experienced this before... i suggets u to go to doctor to help you with ur allergy... u should sue ur dermatologist cus he is a dumb ***..how could he prescribe u something that will give a side effect. Btw in my case.. i used acne products contained of benzoyl peroxide such as proactive and clearasil but it caused my face became so red and itchy especially when i go out in the sun. I stopped using these products for almost a year.... and it still red....but i used clinique for oily skin... my face is not red and oily anymore. However, im still haveing problem with my acne. Well since u have problem on your hand... im not sure if clinique could help... so i guess maybe the best way to do is to check ur self to the doctor.... not the dumb one please.. go to the smart one.... i know im not helping... but i hope u will get better
Reply:Hello there,

I would stop taking the acne medicine right away, Go to wal- mart and buy over the counter acne treatment gel and wipes. I have really bad acne too, but Clearasil does the Job for me, it should do the job for you too.

Sincerely, P.S. alot of medicine should just be avoided and this is one prime example why. good luck
Reply:If you stopped taking the medicine a year ago, I doubt that it would still be causing the photosensitivity.

However there are other skin conditions where you can get a rash or itching after sun exposure. I'd go to a dermatologist to get this checked out.

In the meanwhile consider wearing sunscreen, at least SPF 25, to try to prevent breaking out.

Is Dove for Sensitive Skin good for people with Bacne???

I have combination skin. I sweat alot but my skin gets really dry in the winter.

I've used Dove Nutrium before and it made me break out with Cystic Back Acne.

I use Irish Spring now, the acne problem is gone but it leaves my body too dry and I would have to use lotion soon after.

Somebody reccomended Dove for sensitive skin and I wanna know if it works....before I go out and waste money for nothing!

Is Dove for Sensitive Skin good for people with Bacne???
No, you need something antibacterial with moisture enhancement. Lever 2000 and Dial make antibacteria with moisturization in bar form, or look for a body wash.
Reply:you need to get a good back brush with a good body scrub, scrub the hell out of your back in the shower a few times a week, if it gets too dry put a thin layer of lotion on it. I used to have the same problem until I started scrubbing my back.
Reply:It is excellent, That's the only soap I use on my body. I have senitive skin, and am allergic to everythng with fragrance. I also use a lotion that's fragrance free. Stay away from fragrances.

I ve slightly sensitive(gets red, itchy), acne-prone skin. Is clinique good or are there other brands?

ive had the clinique sample once. the cleanser and lotion moisturizer is good but the toner seems to irritate the sensitive areas on my skin... and clinique is just too expensive.

Im considering body shop's tea tree facial products. its gd for the acne prone skin and the staffs said that it's ok for my sensitive skin.. has anyone tried this b4? is it good?

how bout other brands..like vichy, clarins or skin food?

I ve slightly sensitive(gets red, itchy), acne-prone skin. Is clinique good or are there other brands?
Hi, tea tree is good BUT if u want a flawless skin, u can try Roacuttane at the clinic(certain local GP clinics only that sells this). It's great, it works! Oily, sensitive, acne complexion will be gone in times.....Results- clear, healthy %26amp; flawless complexion :-) It's quite pricey, though!(About $180 for 30capsules). And for females/ladies users..pregnancy or getting pregnant while on this medication is a NO-NO..Well, anyway, the doctor will brief u on this. Try it, hell lot of air-stewardess taking it to maintain their long-term flawless complexion.......
Reply:clinique is the best.
Reply:i've tried the body shop shop tea tree facial products and it worked pretty good for me. it didn't get rid of all the acne, but i noticed a big improvement after the first few days.
Reply:The reason Clinique is so good is that they have different types of products for people with different skin so it can work well on your face and something else will work better on someone elses face. The body shop and Fruits and Passion have only one product and it's not guaranteed to work. My friend loves those stores but her acne doesn't get better with that stuff.

Talk to the Clinique representative and they can tell you about what you can use instead. My friends and family have used Clinique with excellent results. It's not so expensive but I can say that because it works. Usually they have this spend more than $40 and get a free gift so you should stock up on stuff then and you'd get a free gift.

Vitamin E for sensitive skin?

ok,i have sensitive skin but i wanna start using vitamin E so,what is the suitable form for my skin (lotion, cream) or may be mixing the oil with the night cream? is it good for acne-prone skin and acne scars?

Vitamin E for sensitive skin?
Mix pure Vitamin E oil with co-Q10 cream from London Drugs. You could also use a base cream for sensitive skin. Neutrogena Norwegian formula cream is good as well. Stay away from bar soaps, exfoliants, toners with alcohol, Noxzema and mud masks.

You could use L'oreal cleansing milk along with one of their alcohol-free toners, then follow up with a base cream. Their moisturizers are heavily scented, so you may want to stay away from them.

Ok ladies

I need help. Its winter time, I have really sensitive skin, and I am drying out.

I have been using my mother's cheap Equate brand facial lotion(knock of Oil of Olay) and it seems to be worsening my conditions than anything

Do you yall know any good sensitive skin lotions that arent too expensive?

Please and Thank you

Facial lotion for sensitive skin?
I had same problem, I rtyed neutrogena %26amp; Olay and didn't worked.

Don't losse money trying more cheap brands, the best is Clinique, is a little more expensive but at the end is better and cheaper than trying other brands that don't work.
Reply:Aveno for senstive skin! i love it it'll be about $13 but its great :)

Reply:maybe Dove lotion

but i have sensitive skin and i use Ponds lotion(on my face)

Close shave on sensitive skin?

I have really sensitive skin and my facial hair grows really fast.

I can only shave every 2 days (with blade shaver) because my skin is so sensitive. When I do shave, I get red bumps everywhere. I tried using shaving creams and oils and they dont work. This happends even with new blades. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Close shave on sensitive skin?
Believe it or not, different brand of shavers shave at a slightly different angle. Try switching the brand of razor you are using until you find one that does not irritate your skin.
Reply:Try different shaving creams to see what you find to be most "protective". Key is to splash your face with very cold water after you shave to close up the pores. This should help and stay away from the oils...only makes it worse.
Reply:I use shaving cream with aloe vera in for sensitive skin which i also have too mate thank you
Reply:Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Acne treatment for sensitive skin?

I've got really sensitive skin that dries out very easily. I can't use any products with benzol peroxide in them, including proactiv. Does anyone have any acne treatments that works for very sensitive skin? I appreciate everyones help :)

Acne treatment for sensitive skin?
i have very very sensitive skin, I can't use benzoyl peroxide, or salylic acid, which is in almost every product for treating acne....I use either oil of olay sensitive skin cleanser or cetaphil cleanser, then if my skin is breaking out, I just put a little rubbing alcohal on the area to dry it out...try not touching your face and make sure it is the last thing you wash in the shower! Make sure you use non-scented, non comedogenic, oil-free, etc products, cuz all that stuff can cause breakouts.
Reply:For sensitive skin I highly recommend that you try the zenmed derma cleanse system.

Reply:try tips on treating acne and skincare on this site
Reply:u better go to dermatologist, dangerous to try any product randomly
Reply:wash ur face free of dust and dirt 2 to 3 times and watever happens don't touch the acne and give it time to vanish.though it takes longer now but its better to have ur face free of scars .
Reply:buy Neutrogena Oil-Free Cream Cleanser. you can get it a you local food store.it work for me
Reply:I am also allergic to benzol peroxide. I use "Clean%26amp;Clear Foaming Facial Cleanser for Sensitive Skin" for cleansing. It is an oil-free formula that gently removes dirt, oil, and makeup. For acne I use Clean%26amp;Clear Oil-Free Continuous Control Acne Wash. It treats and helps prevent breakouts. It contains salicylic acid, so try a small sample before using it all over your face to see if you have an allergic reaction to it. Also, do not use the products right after each other. I use the acne wash in the morning and the facial cleanser in the afternoon/night. You can buy both of these products at WalMart or your local drugstore.
Reply:I have suffered acne so much as many of you have had.

I had tried everything such as pills, crème, lotion, those are made by brand name companies, but I was so stressed because they didn’t work.

One day, I knew aloe is good to treating acne, and one of my Korean friends told me of a product called Aloe Enne from Namyang Aloe.

I tried it several weeks, and I am so pleased about the result.

After cleaning up my face, I put it on my face, and it feels like my skin gets much moist and healthier. I think aloe really works.

So I hope you have the good skin too.
Reply:You might want to see you Doctor about the acne problem. I did myself and found out I had a high prolactin rate which caused more male hormones to generate causing the acne outbreaks. internal medicine would be best for you since you have sensitive skin.
Reply:If you’re looking for accurate acne information, best to see a dermatologist. Some people believe doctors are predisposed to take the easy way to deal with acne… prescription drugs. But, with many, this simplistic answer may not be the appropriate course of action. Some feel that such prescription drugs just treat the symposium and not the underlying cause. But, a local dermatologist is still your best starting point.

For me personally, I discovered a great informational acne treatment site. Not only is there good information/articles but I got their audio e-book and following it’s advice can now say that my acne is a thing of the past! Keep in mind, were all different and there are various types of acne, so what works for some may not be totally effective for all.

Bottom line, hang in there, you will get past this! Sincere best wishes and good luck.

Reply:I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/

that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Help needed for sensitive skin and eczema?

Can anyone out there suggest a shampoo which will not make me allergic to my hair?

I suffer with extremely sensitive skin and eczema, I have a shampoo which the Dr gives me but I can only use that fortnightly, I need a shampoo for the rest of the time. I used to use Tesco Cammomile shampoo, but they've stopped making it, since then I have tried many which are supposed to be for sensitive skin, but they still make my face and neck break out! Please help.

Thanks

Help needed for sensitive skin and eczema?
use baby shampoo
Reply:try nizoral(this may not be the right spelling but any good chemist will know what u mean) shampoo...or common coal tar shampoo...both are available without prescription at any good pharmacy!
Reply:I suffer from sensitive skin too! I use Sauve shampoos and conditioners/lotions etc. They have worked well and I have never had a reaction to them.

Another suggestion is to change your brand of shampoos once a month. I use VO5 for a month then switch to Sauve. It helps ! Good luck! (White Rain is well known to be BAD for allergy sufferers as is Tide)
Reply:No sorry but i do have a ointment thing. It is called Oilatum. All you have to do is when you are in the bath pour it into the lid nearly to the top then pour that under hot water that is a good ointment. It is in a big blue bottle and it has Oilatum on the front of it.

Can i ask you a question to, do you know a good excema cream?

Reply:Hi,

Have you ever tried clearpore? if not yet then I would strongly recommend it. I got extremely positive results within weeks of using it. -%26gt; http://tinyurl.com/33azgx

I'm not saying I love it only because it worked for me. I do because it has worked for each and every person I've recommended it with excellent results. It tackles the acne problem from so many different angles that I bet it works for anybody. I'm even keen to think I'm not the only fan out there.

You can read independent review of clearpores here:

Reply:ClearPores system is good for sensitive skin. You also get a herbal supplement that helps your body deal with acne from the inside, that's what makes their product line so great.

Here is the link to their website (you order it online, fast shipping): http://www.clearpores.com/clicks/clickth...

Good Luck!

I have extremely sensitive skin that breaks out easily...what make up is best for sensitive skin?

Can you give me some brands and where to get them? I'd even be willing to order them from somewhere if it works well. I prefer liquid foundation but every kind I've used hurts my face big time. Even the ones marked for sensitive skin. Thanks everyone!

I have extremely sensitive skin that breaks out easily...what make up is best for sensitive skin?
Id Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals works for me. I have rediculously sensitive skin. If I wore brands sold in fine department stores or drug stores my face would break out within an hour of putting the stuff on.

With Bare, I can sleep in it over a single night and not break out. I also use anti acne moisturizer prior to putting it on.

Go to ebay to buy a trial size ($8). the trial size should last a month.
Reply:Prescriptives. It's a whole line of non-allergenic makeup. Also, Almay (which you can buy at the grocery store) is hypoallergenic. Prescriptives is VERY expensive, but is less likely to give you allergies. You might also want to try Bare Minerals. You can purchase it at any Nordstroms or at: http://www.sephora.com

Bare Minerals is produced by Bare Escentuals.
Reply:you shouldn't wear foundation...it will always cause break outs...just try a light bronzer...brush it on your cheeks, nose, forehead and chin. It works best and you will probably quit breaking out all together...i did
Reply:bare minerals.you can get it at sephora.com
Reply:Try Bare Minerals. I don't wear makeup often, but this stuff is AWESOME and leaves virtually no goopy feeling on your skin.

It is kinda expensive though, but I think it's worth it and it lasts 4-ever.
Reply:Bare Minerals, (it's a powder) But it has Zinc in it. So it will help the break outs. It's light too, and won't clog your pores.
Reply:try using bare minerals, i have ultra sensitive acne prone skin also, andthe bare minerals are fab
Reply:I have found foaming face cleansers to work best. Clinique has a good one but I generally stick to Lancome Mousse Clarte. I have sensitive skin and I have to STEER CLEAR of any Origins products.
Reply:Prescriptives is a great product line, a bit costly, but well worth it. Go to a make-up counter (Macy's, Hechts, Nordstroms, etc.) and they will give you a free skincare consultation. That's how I found Prescriptives and I've stuck with it ever since.
Reply:Lorac is a line of cosmetics designed by Carol Shaw (Carol--Lorac spelled backwards!) who had exactly the same problem as you. All of the line is designed to be as gentle and as non-irritating as possible. The foundations are great--they come in oil-free and satin.
Reply:i have sensitive skin too and i use the new dove intensive nourishing lotion for sensitive skin it work for me and i still use it i don't know if it gonna work for you everybody is different just try it and good luck with it the sell it every where must the pharmacy store
Reply:I like Clinique, or if you want cheaper Neutrogena

Reply:Many products contain ingredients that cause or make acne worse. There is an informative letter in my source section.

Two lines of product that are likely to be safe are Claritin and Almay.

The location of your break-outs may help you see which products may be making your acne worse, whether in your t-zone or out at your hairline and sides of your face.
Reply:I have very sensitive skin myself. I love to use Bare Minerals I have been using the product for over a year. My face feels and looks great. You can go on line or try Sephora and Bed Bath and beyond they have the starter kit. It's very inexpensive and works really good.

My pup has sensitive skin. How often can I give him a bath?

My puppy is mixed and he has sensitive skin. so we think.

He doesn't have fleas. he was checked and is on frontline but he kept itching so the vet gave us this Pramoxine Hydrochloride 1% Relief Shampoo and the itching stopped but only for about 3 weeks. he started itching again a few days ago. So I gave him a bath today and he hasn't itched since... but I don't wanna dry out his coat.

Is giving him a bath every three weeks or just whenever he starts itching a lil too much bad for him? ( i know some itching is ok/normal ) Or because he has sensitive skin and because i'm using that kind of shampoo its ok?

is there anything I should or could put him on to help prevent drying out his coat?

He is an inside dog but I take him out every two hours for a walk and twice a day for 30-hour min run on my bike or skates to help keep him healthy and thin.

My pup has sensitive skin. How often can I give him a bath?
bathing isnt necessarily going to dry out his coat. ive found that oatmeal shampoo is really good for itchy dogs. i have many dogs and this always helps them. i bathe my dogs about once every 2 weeks.
Reply:whatever you do dont blow dry you dog his/her's skin will get dry and it will get worse :-0
Reply:Once a month and get him special dog shampoo for dry skin.
Reply:You should bath him no more than twice a month. Plus Oatmeal shampoo is great for there skin. Also you might want to change his food. Lower quaility food doesnt benifit the skin. Try a higher quality food like Science Diet. I had the same problem with shepard and it went away in a week. When you dog is older you (adult more than a year) you can senstive skin fomula. Until than try to change his diet. Remember to switch slowly over a 7 day period. first two days 75% old food and 25% new food. third and fourth day 50% old food to 50% new food .5 and 6 day 75

% new food 25%old food. 7th all new food.
Reply:Believe it or not, the Frontline could be the cost of that. These kind of treatments are pesticides and harm a dog or better any animal more then you think. It will destroy there little kidneys and livers. I can't keep stressing to all dog lovers to check out the site petmedicinechest.com. You're going to be shocked about the mistakes people make with their animals. Good luck!

My skin is sensitive from my head to toe. Can you pls recommend a great body wash, and lotion. Thanks!?

I've tried both brands Cetaphil, and Aveeno. The big problem for me is that my skin gets itchy. It happens most after I shave w/ sensitive skin shaving cream. I do put lotion on immediately after shaving. Please help! Thanks again!

My skin is sensitive from my head to toe. Can you pls recommend a great body wash, and lotion. Thanks!?
I thought you weren't supposed to put lotion on immediately after shaving. You should give your pores a chance to rest. Shower and pat them dry and when they are nice and dry then apply your daily lotion. I have sensitive skin too, but from the sounds of it, not as sensitive as yours.

Try Ivory bath soap and lotion. It is very, very light and doesn't really have a strong fragrance. My mother uses Ivory and she loves it. Its a very clean soap and lotion. Good luck. Stay away from heavily scented stuff!
Reply:dove is definately good for sensitive skin. and dove lotion is great also.
Reply:dont put the lotion on right after!!!! espeacially with sensitive skin! wait about 1/2 an hour than apply lotion If u are in a hurry just go with baby powder :)
Reply:I have sensitive skin to. Dove makes a special soap just for sensitive skin.

Sensitive skin and waxing?

if i have discovered because of waxing a test patch on my legs, that i have sensitive skin, does that mean i shouldnt wax my legs? i had red bumps, and a bit of numbness...

Sensitive skin and waxing?
don't wax, just shave like everybody else.
Reply:yes
Reply:well as a guy we dont like hair on girls, but its your choice there are other products that also work to remove hair but do shave its sexy
Reply:Don't wax. Numbness is always bad. Consider laser hair removal. It pricy, but it lasts a long time.
Reply:Never DIY wax. Go to a salon and pay the money for a profesinal wax. They have better wax, and they know what their doing. at home waxing is terrible.

Sensitive Skin!!! help!!! please!!!!!! Acne?!?!?!?

okay i was just wondering, i have super SUPER sensitive skin. everything i put on it drys it out like crazy! what can i use to help my acne but not get all dried out! i dont want to use proactive and i have already tried AcneFree...also when i do use harsh chemicals on my face, can this make my acne even worse? what should i do. i dont have horrible acne but enough to make me go crazy cuz its gross and its all over my chin and under my nose! whats making me do this!!! please help!!

Sensitive Skin!!! help!!! please!!!!!! Acne?!?!?!?
Do you touch your face a lot? If so stop, there are bacteria and oils on your hands that can be a big contributor to acne. I suffered from acne when I was young and as soon as I stopped touching my face or resting my chin on my hand it cleared up. If you use the above person’s toothpaste idea, be sure it does not have fluoride in it which can actually contribute to breakouts. Also, for all topical acne treatment a little goes a long way, use only a pin sized dab on each pimple. Lastly the less “stuff” (cosmetics and oily creams) you use the less likely you are to clog your pores. Good luck.

Be Well!
Reply:I put toothpaste on my breakouts. Use paste not the gel. Works for me....To get rid of the reddness in them, I use a tea bag dipped in hot water. Let it cool a bit so it doesnt burn you. Give it a try. Its cheap too!
Reply:I have really bad sensitive skin too...I would advise washing your face with hot water ONLY, no soap if you can get away with it, or use a cleansing cream that has no soap. That's what I do and when I used to get zits, I would use the Clean %26amp; Clear lotion with salicylic acid... It was enough to get rid of the pimples but since it was a lotion it didn't dry me out very bad. The first couple of times I used it I noticed some peeling, but as I used it regularly it went away.
Reply:You need to get enough sleep at night at least 8 hours. Dont stress yourself at work. Always think positive. Use non-perfumed soap or cleanser. Use non-perfumed tissue instead of a towel on your face.

Upper lip hair, sensitive skin, and waxing vs creams?

So I have been using Simplique but I have to use it at least every 3 days and the battery runs out pretty quickly... My upper lip hair isn't too thick, but it's dark and that's why I get rid of it. I have very fair, VERY sensitive skin and gave up on depilatories b/c they left my skin red for 2+ days after use and were very painful... I tried different brands and they never removed all the hair, even when it was on for the max amount of time. I would try waxing but doesn't it have to grow a certain length? Plus I'm not too crazy about the ripping off part and that it can cause the skin to sag when you're older. I am def not willing to shell out the big bucks for electrolysis/laser removal, plus I've heard bad things about it. What should I do? Is there a really good brand of cream that will do the trick that won't leave my skin bright red?

Upper lip hair, sensitive skin, and waxing vs creams?
Hi! I wax my legs and underarms on a monthly basis so I am a big fan of wax even though I have extreme sensitive skin. The wax will leave me with little bumps for one day whereas depilatory creams and shaving leave me with bumps for several days and dry, itchy skin as the hair tries to grow back.

However, I do not wax nor use depilatory creams on upper lip area. That skin is just to sensitive. I've learned to dull the area with ice (holding an ice cube to area for about a minute) and then just tweezing. It takes longer than waxing...but at least it lasts a long time (and the pain is about the same)...and I have less issues this way with my sensitive skin.

If you do go for the wax though, by the kind that hardens by itself rather than the kind you need to pull off with a paper strip. I have been told that this a more "natural" form of wax that actually gets more hair. Plus...you can reuse it by simply remelting it.

Good luck!
Reply:I go to a salon where they use a technique called threading. It works very well.
Reply:There is no such thing as universally good brand. What is good for someone is intolerable to other. Try applying the hair removal product on a small surface of skin, and if tolerated well, after 24hrs apply on the area you want to treat. Follow the application instruction, rinse of thoroughly and apply some high quality lotion afterward. However if you compare the funds necessary for like 10-15 years of chemical depilation or waxing, laser might not seem so expensive after all.
Reply:have you tried nair. they have a sensitive skin cream. waxing isnt bad i have really really sensitive skin. waxing will leave a red patch for a couple hours but will go away by the next day. the best time to do this is in the evening at home. so by time you wake up so wont notice anything. unless you go to a salon. but honestly. it you hair isnt to dark. cut it. yes just trim it like hair on your head. you cant see stubbles and you wont see the hair either.
Reply:Try using a wax or cream specifically designed for faces. They will have less chemicals in it. Use a hair remover review website like, http://www.depilatorys.com/
Reply:Try laser hair removal.

There are home laser hair removal kits like the Rio. It uses a safe 808nm diverging diode based laser system. The main difference between the Rio and a salon laser is that it can only treat one hair at a time whereas the salon laser will treat an area of about 1cm squared.
Reply:IF YOU DONT LIKE TO WAX IT THAN JUST BLEACH IT TRY

Sensitive Skin - Body Piercings?

I've been contemplating whether to get my naval, eyebrow, and tongue pierced or not. The thing is, I have extremely sensitive skin. Although I have my earlobes pierced 5 times without any trouble, I have not been able to get a successful cartilege piercing because it was so infected each time. I am also allergic to nickel.

Do these things matter for other body piercings? I would hate to spend so much money and end up removing it like my other ear piercings.

Thanks in advance!

Sensitive Skin - Body Piercings?
Stick with titanium. It's pretty much the least allergenic metal you can use. I have extrememly sensitive skin as well and have had multiple allergic reactions in my earlobe piercings. But...when I had my cartilage and navel done I used titanium in each from the start, no problems whatsoever.

My navel also healed a lot better once I switched from a captive bead ring to a banana barbell because it didn't stretch my skin unnaturally like it did around the tight curve of the ring.
Reply:tongue and eyebrow are a little risky and also unattractive.
Reply:Try your navel first its the least likely to get infected, then go eyebrow, then finanlly if you dont have problems try your tongue.

also never you hydrogen peroxide on your piercings. always use warm sea salt water its the best thing for your peircings
Reply:A good body piercer can get jewellery for you with much lower nickel grade. You could also use PTFE which can be autoclaved.

If you are only having trouble with cartilage piercings you may not be caring for them well enough.

Cartilage is a difficult area to pierce and prone to infection. It doesn't get the blood flow that normal flesh does.
Reply:ive also got really sensitive skin... i have 8 piercings in my ears and my nose and tongue... both with no problems.

im also allergic to nickel and had no problems with my belly piercing until i put in a cheap bar... and my body rejected it.

if you don't mind looking after them properly and use good quality jewellry there shouldn't be a problem :P

good luck for whatever you decide to do!
Reply:Keep everything clean. Most people are OK with gold...not gold plated.

Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I need help.?

I am 20 years old, and have light tan skin. I have extremely Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I have suffered from folliculitis and many times after I shave my legs turn red and bumpy. Soon I will have laser hair removal done, but for now I need something. After I shave my skin itches for days. Right now I am using St. Ives Extra Dry Skin Lotion but I am still itching. Any advice, tips or suggestions are accepted (no oily lotions please).

Thank you so much

Dry, Itchy, and Sensitive Skin! I need help.?
I recommend Aveeno skin care products. I use all their products from facial moisturizer, body lotion and soap. I suggest that you use unscented products since you have follicultis. The fragrance is the culprit for the itchiness!
Reply:contact a dermatologist.
Reply:Try putting some baby oil in the bath, and then have a nice relax in the tub.
Reply:my skin calms down after using thermal water

i prefer avene but there more other firms: vichy, uriage, bioderma

i also use every day an emollient cream to prevent eczemas
Reply:I agree with Sally, try some baby oil.
Reply:I use straight jojoba oil, when shaving, it's a nourishing, non-greasy oil. It holds moisture in, and is good to use directly after shower too. I have dry sensitive skin too, in the winter time, I also use Aveeno, menthol lotion. It cools the itch right away!! It's awesome!!
Reply:do not shave your legs, or avoid it for a few days. grow the hairs to 2mm and then wax them instead of shaving. in the meantime go to the chemist and ask for aqueous cream, and use that instead of cream and soap. it is quite thick and if you mix it with water it makes a good fragrance free and soap free 'soap'. The St Ives could be irritating you if you are very sensitive as it may contain fragrances and chemicals.
Reply:The only thing that works for me is Aveeno lotion with oatmeal. It is a beige with green on it and it is the only thing I use because it is not oily and is for sensitive skin. It can be expensive, so I use the Walmart brand and it is awesome.
Reply:Baby oil works wonders! After you shave, run a warm bath, nothing major, even just a few cups worth....and rinse yourself off. Don't dry off, rather pat yourself off if you don't want to 'air dry'. I would recommend Jergen's lotions. The others are not bad recommendations, but I am speaking from my personal experience. I am 21, hispanic, female, and I had your problem with really dry skin. As for the folliculitis, I am sure you have tried many products, so I don't know what to tell you about that. Have you tried St. Ives Medicated(not the lotion, the face wash...works on all parts of the body)? It's inexpensive and I know it helped my brother, he had that.
Reply:Try "Eucerin Dry Skin Therapy." It's dermatologist recommended Look for the words "Plus Intensive Repair Lotion" on the bottle or tube. I buy it at Wal*Mart, but they sell it most everywhere. Good luck!
Reply:Eucerin or Avenno work great. I have very dry sensitive skin

I now use and sell Mary Kay and of course would recommend those too but that's what I used before oh and Luburdurm (sp)lotion worked okay too. See if they have website sometime they will send you samples or coupons.
Reply:Dry skin is a big thing. One of the problem is because we wash in chlorinated water everyday. Chlorine is a bleaching agent and it strips away the natural skin oil. All the cream and lotion we put on is not the same and it is a after application. I do have dry skin myself and I use shower filter. It really help is you case is same as mine. Use shower filter and also apply the cream to see it that works. I myself uses shower filter and finds it to work for me, but still I use cream.

I have sensitive skin too, and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. I would def look at olay makeup, but keep in mind that skin can clear up more easily if it can breathe. Don't pack on the makeup, and avoid it whenver possible. Try to find makeup that has a lot of water in it instead of oil based substances. And remember to be religious about washing your face! Reply:A great product line for people with sensitive skin is Artistry. Their products are all natural and all have a one hundred percent money back guarentee for up to six months on every one of their products. They actually test on sensitive skin and if it doesn't do well they don't produce it. So if you would try something and it would give you problems you can send it back and get your money back. I have had acne problems in the past like crazy bad acne problems and what really helped me was their balancing system as well as using the soothing creme. My skin looks awesome and i've been getting a ton of compliments on it. You can't buy Artistry products in stores but I urge you to go to http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com and read about some of their products and even buy any that sound like they could help. Like I said I reccomend their Balancing Skin Care System as well as Soothing Creme and yes they do have a make up line as well. They are also great for people with sensitive skin. I really hope this helped :)

Sensitive skin deodorant help!?

i have super sensitive skin. So when i use most deodorants like secret, dove, and Ban i breakout and get itchy. Right now i use tussy. but i dont like it because it leaves white marks. Does anyone have any suggestions

Sensitive skin deodorant help!?
Try an organic deodorant. I can't think of any names right now, but they're always on the very bottom shelf with all the other deodorants. They don't have the same chemicals that brands like Secret, Ban, etc all have, and it's the chemicals that affect your skin. My friend uses one that's basically a clear rock and she really likes it.

For years I used men's deodorant because some didn't contain an anti-perspirant %26amp; women's deodorant always included an anti-perspirant which was really irritating to my skin.

I'm 28, sensitive skin, acne prone, with combo skin and chapped cheeks...?

As my subject line says I'm 28, with sensitive skin, am acne prone, with combo skin and chapped cheeks...the acne prone and combo skin I've started to get covered...the chapped cheeks? Hurt, flake, and are pink. I've been using some cetaphil daily facial moisturizer with spf 15. It burns. And a Mario Badescu lotion with spf 17 which sorta burns...barely. Out of the 2, the Mario Badescu works better, but I don't have a lot...it's a sample. Anything else out there I could try?

I'm 28, sensitive skin, acne prone, with combo skin and chapped cheeks...?
if it burns, it will not help the chapped go away... use an oatmeal %26amp; vitamin E lotion until it is better

take a vitamin A supplement daily too, its great for your skin!
Reply:Try using the proactive solution's three step program. It sounds like you are trying too hard to clean your skin and are drying it out. If you use the proactive's three step program for at least 30 days religiously, you will not believe the difference. It is the only thing that worked for me.
Reply:Vaseline lotion does wonders for me doesnt burn and last longer than most stuff. plus it doesnt smell bad like the rest
Reply:hey...

don't use the artificial staff get the natural!!

Get some lettuce, tomatoes and all spice and blend it!

And this is the best combo!

Try it you will thank me for sure!
Reply:Sounds like you have acne rosacea. See a dermatologist for a prescription medication that will help with the condition. Make sure you use a good quality, gentle moisturizer like Cetaphil - but you may want to avoid the sunscreen until your skin calms down - some people have sensitivities and/or allergies to Parsol, which I believe is the sunscreen in Cetaphil. Maybe try the Cetaphil cream instead, especially on your cheeks. Once your skin isn't so inflamed, the sunscreen won't burn as much.
Reply:The first thing you should try to do is to get off the cetaphil moisturizer. It seems like that it's too harsh for your skin and is not moisturizing enough. You should definitely try The Body Shop's Aloe Day Cream. The aloe like is made specifically for sensitive skin and aloe is also VERY hydrating. It won't irritate your skin, but it will leave your skin extremely moisturized. Since you have combination skin, only apply the cream on the areas where your skin is dry. If not, a good alternative is aveeno ultra calming cream, but theyre both around 14 bucks, so I'd go for the aloe since it will last a lot longer!
Reply:Well I also have sensetive skin and have been fighting it for seven years, I have found that benzel proxide and sulfer active ingreadents just dried up my skin and made my acne worse avoid them the best active ingrediants are tea tree oil and syclaicacid. Murad is the product I use and it works great!! although it's kind of expensive, but totally worth it, they have everything you could possibly need for skin care!!

Make-up & Sensitive Skin?

Ok, I have Sensitive Skin, so my Mom says I "don't need Make-Up". I know I don't NEED Make-Up, but I would like to cover-up some of my imperfections and even out my skin tone. Is there any way I can make my own Make-Up? One that won't mess-up my skin and maybe even help get rid of what's left of my acme. A natural solution with fruit, plants or something? My complexion is very unique. I mean my zits would look almost like feckles if they weren't sooo bump-ish(LOL)... Can Any Help?

Peace %26amp; Love !

Make-up %26amp; Sensitive Skin?
No don't make your own, go and get the products from bee luscious cosmetics they are all natural and you will adore them. Great for your skin.
Reply:no. dont try and make your own makeup. thats very naive and it will not work let me tell you.

but a good powder which has really whatever kind of coverage you want, from light to full, is physicians formula mineral wear loose powder. its in a dome shaped container kind of. i use it and it is especially made for sensitive skin. its really great but a little pricier than other drug store brands like covergirl and maybelline, but definitely worth it!
Reply:U can try Mineral make up, it's very gentle for sensitive skins. good look!

Sensitive skin and rashes anyone has helpful suggestions?

My cousin has been suffering from sensitive skin on her body for some years. She seen many doctors but moisturizers, steriod creams and medicine does not help much and cause her side effects. Any alternative treatments or suggestions to relieve her suffering? It pains me to see her so and she has recently slipped into depression. Her rashes grow worse during menses or exam stress. Thanks alot.

Sensitive skin and rashes anyone has helpful suggestions?
Well There's This Lotion For Sensitive Skin And For Rashes To. She Might Have To Go To A Dermatologist And He/She Will Perscribe Certain Meds.

Covering up acne? my skin is sensitive!?

my skin is too sensitive and i cant use too much make up otherwise the symptoms will get a lot worse! i've tried using this olay thingy and aloe vera lotion but it always makes my skin look shiny and greasy! do any of u guys know of a cover up - homemade, preferrably! - that is cheap, works well with sensitive skin, etc?? i'd rather it be all natural with minerals and blahblah - not foundation! even that makes my skin all red!

Covering up acne? my skin is sensitive!?
consult dermatologist because there in injection for acne and within that day you can notice changes or you may use differin(adapalene) available from your nearest drugstore use gel if your oily and cream if your skin type is dry.Dont use hardsoap on your face and wash frequently.
Reply:Bareminerals is good for your skin..it actually helps your skin..and it works really well for concealer..the problem is..it is 2 payments of $19.99 a month, but you can choose how often you get it...up to 6 months, and you only have to pay the 2 payments of $19.99 a month for each order. So, by ordering it every six months, you only have to pay $80 a year..

Reply:Firstly using substances derived from vitamin A like retin-a or tazarotene, to reduce inflammation of the skin and to unplug pores. Retin-A can cause skin reddening at first but this is quite normal as the skin's blood supply is improved and younger looking skin begins to appear presenting a youthful complexion. Using a product that includes zinc will also help the vitamin a function better.

my skin is sensitive nd i want to use bleach on my skin.i used OXY BLEACH for d first time.it was ok.can anybody suggest me bleach gentle on my skin.

'BLEACH' for sensitive skin ?age=20.Anjali.?
Darling, pls don't do anything to your skin. Keep it soft and take good care of it but don't bleach it. I know of your problem as we white people have to same. We want to tan our skin and do nothing but damage to it. Learn to accept yourself the way you are and love yourself. You will see that in time you will come to find yourself just fine. Everybody wants to be on the other side where the grass is greener but there is no place like home. I hope you can understand what I mean and be happy with the way you look.

Anyone with sensitive skin who uses Benefit cosmetics?

If so how does it affect your skin. I have very sensitive skin and bought the tinted moisturiser and Dr Feelgood balm last week. After a couple of days I started getting little pimples. I stopped using the products but was wondering if anyone else's skin has gotten used to the products and if so what do you use? Thanks.

Anyone with sensitive skin who uses Benefit cosmetics?
The tinted moisturizer has SPF 15 which can cause problems in many people, including myself. You Rebel is NOT OIL FREE, not matter what anyone says. Dr. Feelgood is also not oil free and is not good for sensitive skin. Dr. Feelgood is more for older women with enlarged pores. I honestly have found better foundation products in the Revlon line. MAC is pretty heavy, but there are sheer products within their line that may work for you, but ask for samples first and try for at least three days.
Reply:i have kinda sensitive skin, i used 2 use the benefit foundation but i have moved 2 m.a.c now its way better. but i still use the benefit "that gal" face primer, its really light, smells good and make ur foundation go on like a dream, cant live without it anymore! doubt it will make ur face come out in a rash or anythin cus its so light! give it a try and c xxxxx
Reply:I used to get invisible lumps on my face, I could feel them but you couldn't see them. I realised I began getting them after I started using "some kinda gorgeous" foundation faker, but after a couple of weeks I stopped getting them and I use it pretty much every day!

With Benefit you really have to try products, because some are fabulous but others are just pretty packaging...

Good luck with your makeup quest!

Severely dry sensitive skin?

Please help me come up with an affordable (and preferably natural) solution for my skin trouble. The skin on my cheeks is so sensitive, you can't even touch it with bare hands or it flares up bright red and irritated. The skin on my t-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) is always so dry, it flakes like I have sunburn. This all prevails no matter what I do.

I have changed detergent, I use no chemicals or artificial things on my face. I never wash it with soap or standard face wash, but I use coconut oil to wash my face every day. In fact, sometimes I will sleep with oil on my face (no, I never break out.) I use all natural make up, but only on my eyes.. I never put anything on my cheeks or nose. No amount of oil or lotion ever seems to help, and I have tried not using moisturizers to see if they were the cause, and it only got much worse.

And do NOT recommend a dermatologist, I don't have health coverage, nor do I believe in using chemical medication. Thanks

Severely dry sensitive skin?
It sounds to me like you are describing psoriasis. Eruptions are usually symmetrical. Do you also have this on your elbows or other parts of the body? Do you also have arthritis? Pitted nails can confirm a diagnosis of psoriasis.

Though it said there is no cure, herbs can keep it under control. Evening Primrose oil capsules can help. Blue Flag root and Poke root can clear it up. Also take Dandelion Root and drink Aloe Vera juice. Topically, Chamomile essential oil or Lavender oil added to your natural regimen may help with the redness.

Another possibility is that you have Rosacea (acne rosacea). It is often caused by upset stomach over a long period of time. Meadowsweet herb helps a lot. Sometimes a change in hormones can cause it, in which taking Vitex capsules (Chaste Tree berry) can ameliorate the condition or eliminate it altogether.
Reply:Rheumatoid arthritis is an auto-immune disorder. One of the things you can do to help yourself is to do blood/liver cleanses, using Burdock root, Milk Thistle Seed extract %26amp; Dandilion Root. Renew Life makes a good all-around cleanse like this. Also anything you can to BOOST your immunity. Report It

Reply:The one and only time I had an allergic reaction was to Maybelline make-up. I went to a doctor because it got pretty severe and his advice is what I will give you here - the only lotion to use on your face is Aveeno, which uses oatmeal. I put it on every single morning right out of the shower and it stops the dryness and tightness all day. I don't use any soap on my face, if I clean it at night I use Noxema, which moisturizes at the same time. I know how it feels to have severely dry sensitive skin. Aveeno also makes a cream that comes in a jar, which is a bit richer - I use this on my legs. Good luck to you my friend. PS - If I soak in the tub, I put oatmeal in an old nylon sock and put it in the water. The oatmeal helps a great deal.
Reply:I have what you are talking about. Cut out all caffiene. Drink alot of water and take a good multivitamin. Also before you go outside put some dry skin cream on your face. I use Vaseline intensive care for extra dry skin. I put it on every morning and every night. The doctor gave me a cream but it just burnt my skin. I have a condition called Lupus that leaves me with rosacia.

Addition: My face often feels really hot before it gets flaky.

Another addition:Rosacia isn't caused by an upset stomache. I wouldn't put anything on your skin. It's just too sensitive. I've tried even things that are suppose to work for the most sensitive skin and had disasterous results. As for the suggestion of the natural herbs, check with a doctor first. You don't want to have an allergic reaction or cause damage to your body.
Reply:use dove, i do and it works for me and i have dry skin, try it and let me know if it works dawn, good luck.
Reply:Please do NOT use Noxema. It contains menthol and can contribute to permanent reddening of roseacea. I used it from my 20's until early 40's and didn't realize the redness was roseacea and got it got redder as I continued the Noxema. I don't know if it caused the development or just the permanent redness, but I didn't know. I agree that Aveeno is the best to use, and be sure to use the Calming Formula with SPF 15 during the day.
Reply:Try some pure African Shea Butter.

If that does not moisterize your skin, then nothing will. Also check to see if you have hard water, that could worsen the situation. If you notice that you have white stains or white film in your cooking pots after they dry, or white film anywhere in your house after water dries. You can buy a water softner at your local hardware store or a filtered showerhead.

Sensitive Skin: Wash Cloth or Hands?

I have really sensitive skin, my face breaks out real easy some times. All my life I've been washing with a wash cloth on my face, would my hands be better to use as it will would be more gentle?

Sensitive Skin: Wash Cloth or Hands?
A sensitive skin is a thin or a fine-textured skin. It reacts quickly to both heat and cold; therefore, it sunburns and windburns easily. It is commonly dry, delicate and prone to allergic reactions. Temperature changes, some detergents, cosmetics and alcohol (used on the skin) can all cause irritation, leaving the skin red and blotchy, with visible surface veins. to wash your face:

1. Moisten your face with water. Work up a lather by rubbing the soap between wet palms. Using your fingertips (not the bar of soap), massage the lather into your face and throat.

2. Rinse thoroughly with a washcloth or with splashes of water. Take three times as much time for rinsing as compared to what you took for lathering. The important thing is that you remove all of the soap so any caustic it contains won't burn your face.

3. Blot dry with a soft towel; vigorous rubbing with coarse material aggravates and tugs at your skin.

Also, a very helpful tip use ARBONNE: Their proprietary formulas are: Botanically-based, pH correct, Hypoallergenic, Dermatologist tested, Never tested on animals, Formulated without animal products or by-products, Formulated without mineral oil, Formulated without dyes or chemical fragrances. Formulatted without mineral oil because it is the 2nd worse thing we could do to our skins health for it is like rubbing car oil on our skin and exposing ourselfes to the sun, animal products come from dead animals and these come from rendering plants these plants pick all dead animal and dead animal parts (from meat houses, etc.) and they put it in a huge pot, squash everything and boils it, what ever comes to the top is the oil other companies use to elaborate thier products, gross I know...the lipstick... ewww anyway, that is why i use botanically based products which is way much better because they get absorbed and the nutrients inside the products is what helps our skin look and feel healthy...they are not sold in stores but I buy them online at http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com and it is a great way to buy becasue they have this money back guarantee if for some reason there is something you do not like from the products you get your money back guarantee (within 45 days from purchase) so you have nothing to loose, ....I know the info is too much but hope this is helpfull!!!
Reply:Hard to believe the wash cloth is making your skin break out; so how about ditching the face washing all together and getting some face pads that clean up your face, like gentle Olay cleansing pads. I use water on my face cause it's sensitive to soaps. Afterward be sure to hydrate with a good sensitive-skin moisturizer.
Reply:you could try using your hands, they would have to be clean.
Reply:No!! Cause your hands and fingers carry oils which could make you brake out even more!!
Reply:I have always washed with my hands. Aveda has a great skin care line for very sensitive skin. All sensitive, its as gentle as water. Or baby shampoo is recommended by alot of dermatologists.
Reply:Your hands have oil on them, so that's probably not the best solution if you're prone to breakouts. Use a soft washcloth, and don't scrub hard...it'll just irritate your skin. Then, put a gentle cleanser like Cetaphil on it and use warm water to clean your face. Depending on how oily your face is, you might need to do this twice a day, but never more. Also, if your face is oily on the T-Zone (forehead, nose, chin) but not really on your cheeks, you could use a different cleanser for each part. Hope this helps!

Try putting Aquaphor on your cheeks whenever it feels dry. It's like Vaseline but more powerful and less greasy. It's also relatively cheap. You might have ezcema in which case you'll need to get stronger lotions.

Sensitive skin to the sun?

my skin is really sensitive to the sun so im constantly having to put on sunscreen when outside. is there a sunscreen i can put on that will work all day? or do those moisturizers with the sunscreen in them work well? i will try anything

Sensitive skin to the sun?
Nutrogena non-comedic is recommended by many dermatologists. SPF45
