Dry sensitive skin?
soothe dry skin with an all natural skin care moisturizer. this can help keep the skin moist all day. stay away from factors that can rob moisture out of the body like dry air, too much exposure to the sun and humidity.
there are also natural ways to beat dry skin by avoiding long baths and showers. talk to your skin care expert and get some recommended skin care treatments. visit http://www.skinsosilky.com for more tips to beat dry skin.
Reply:Try aquaphor or aveeno. They both work really well.
Reply:Dan V is right, Vaseline lotion is a good but less expensive alternative to any 'baby' products out there. Also, if you are using soap to wash her, you need to stop. Use a moisturising bar (neutral ph etc) or bath wash for babies that have moisturiser included, then cover her in lotion after the bath as well.
Maybe she has an intolerance to a food or juice causing mild eczema? Might be worth checking that out too. My (teen)daughter had it (mild eczema) as a child but has grown out of it now.
Good luck, %26amp; hope something helps soon. ***
Reply:Aveeno is the best!! My kids have very sensitive skin and it is the only lotion we use. Just don't get the navy blue lid it has menthol in it and they think it burns. They have a lot of different types, I usually just buy the regular kind. I use it on their faces as well with no problems. I put it on after every bath and daily on the face.
Reply:My daughter had nasty eczema, and a dermatologist recommended vaseline. Not the lotion, but the really greasy nasty stuff. We initially used prescription betaderm, but only until it cleared up the really bad stuff. It's almost a year later and her skin is beautiful (even through a harsh and dry Canadian winter) and all we've been using is vaseline. We only bathe her every other day (unless absolutely necessary) and we slather it on right after she gets out of the tub to lock in some of the moisture. Be careful though, it's messy and it stains. I wear an apron when I put it on.
I've been using it on my son lately and the rough, scaly skin on his legs has drastically improved too.
