I have sensitive skin. if i shave my bikini area, i will get the little red razor burn bumps. no avoiding it. I can use a brand new razor, aveeno sensitive skin shave gel, and bikini zone cream afterward. it doesn't help. I usually just skip the more sensitive areas, but im going to Waikiki in a couple months and skipping areas wont cut it in a bikini!! ... i know there HAS to SOMETHING that i can do.. I definately can't walk around the beach in pain from shaving my bikini area. . I'm thinking about trying waxing to see if it works better... ladies with sesitive skin that have tried both, how do you feel about waxing? was it less harsh than shaving? Also, If i were to wax i would go get it done, not do it myself. So i don't need tips on how to wax. thx.
Sensitive skin, waxing vs shaving?
Maybe you can try below website to get the information you need. It's about hair rewmoval articles including for sensitive skin for your second opinion.
Reply:i've used wax on the bikini line before (and i have very sensitive skin) and it actually left the area really raw and it bled. it was an awful mess. it went away quickly, but it still didn't look that attractive. if you are only trying to get rid of the hair around your bikini line, you could try using a nair product. there's one called "nair pretty" and it smells like peach. i've used that before and it's really nice! i also use the intuition shaver with the cartridges for sensitive skin when i want to remove a lot of hair down there, and that works well. if you try shaving again, first shave in the direction of the hair until the hairs are really really short. afterwards, hold the skin taut and shave against the hairs.
Reply:Coco Butter and Mens Gel shaving cream and a single edge razor I can show you how
