Sensitive skin and vinegar?

I am 37 weeks pregnant. My upper stomach skin (not internal) is extra sensitive to the touch. Sometimes it hurts for my shirt to rub on it. It is just below my zyphoid process and travels along the top of my uterus. Like I said, it is all external, not internal. Anyone else have sensitive skin like that? What is it?? I have looked EVERYWHERE and can't find anything on it. Also, does anyone know if some types of vinegar are bad for you if you're pregnant. I know some have naturally occuring sulfites in them. I also can't find anything on this topic, so I was just wondering if anyone knew about these things.

Sensitive skin and vinegar?
According to my partner who is a nurse, your skin is sensitive because the skin as well as the nerve endings are being stretched especially during the last few weeks of pregnancy. He says it's more common than you would think. He suggests applying some form of topical anti-itch cream that contains lignocaine. It's absorbed into the bloodstream in case you're wondering.

He has also heard about the vinegar danger; but he can't elaborate. He says it's just one of those things he's heard about.
