Mascara and eyeliner for sensitive skin?

My skin isn't majorly sensitive but some mascara's can sting my eyes so are there any eyeliners/ mascara's around just for those with sensitive skin?

Mascara and eyeliner for sensitive skin?
take a look at some organic lines at the organic store - not sure about mascara but I know they have lipsticks, etc.
Reply:Kiss Me Mascara and Eyeliner
Reply:First off you should avoid waterproof cosmetic products. Use of waterproof cosmetic products will cause a problem for sensitive skin

You should use only black-colored mascara and eyeliner products because black color has least allergenic

Remember to not use any old cosmetics products because they become contaminated and spoiled.

Some essential oils for sensitve skin are Rose, Chamomile, Sandalwood, Lavender and Neroli.

51% of women and 38% of men have sensitive skin. And I am one of the young ladies that have it!!

Good Luck on finding a good product my dermatologist recommended Nature’s Drug Store. Which has a website: naturesDRUGSTORE.com

Acne help for EXTREMELY sensitive skin?

My skin in EXTREMELY sensitive and i cant find anything to help get rid of the acne. I have already tried proactive and nothing from the store shelves such as biore or clearisil etc. works for me. I also tried some of my sister's benzol perixide stuff perscribed from the doctor and it was terrible with my sensitive skin. I haven't tried any type of pill though and i am wondering if anyone knows anything that may work for me. Also i get acen in the "t zone". My cheeks don't break out. Thanks!!!

Acne help for EXTREMELY sensitive skin?
I take amoxicilan/Minocyclin-(Pill) works great for sensitive skin i also take retin A Cream also doc prescribed.
Reply:what about oxy and if that doesnt work get perscribtion stuff like fougera or differin
Reply:I used proactiv and it works for me, but if you wanna try it, I used to put alcohol on my face whenever I got home from like softball practice and before I go to bed, and left it on there all night, (its going to burn, but it's going to work). Then when you get up in the morning and go to wash your face and put on makeup, then put a moustrizer on right before you do your makeup, and it will put some oils back in your face, so its not dried out, it works use it!
Reply:Try this soap (although it's more of a cleansing bar not really soap) called "Basis" or there is another one called "Lowilla". I have extremely sensitive skin and both worked good to keep my skin clear. You could also try the "Aveeno" bars and lotions - they are made with mostly oatmeal and will not flare up your skin. I think if you use of these special sensitive skin "soap" and the Aveeno lotion in combination - it will calm your skin down. You can also try using Witch Hazel for a toner - that is a natural substance, not manufactured. I would start with just keep your skin clean and moisturized for now. You may want to visit an allergy doctor and be tested. Sometimes food or enviornmental allergies can cause acne - and this could be another way to treat it besides putting something on your face. You could also try taking antibiotics for your skin - by seeing a dermatologist (not a regular doctor). Tetracycline is a popular antibiotic given to clear acne. Good luck!
Reply:I've had that problem when I was younger, but now after having kids, it has cleared up. Maybe someday yours will, too.
Reply:benzol proxide dries your skin to much. You might want to look into Arbonne. They have a 45 day guarentee. I know people who loved proactive and love this sooo much more. It is botanically based and great for sensitive skin. I have sensitive skin and excema.. they are all I can use!

www.passion4more.myarbonne.com has a before and after pic on the 2nd page.. check it out!

Could my skin just be really really sensitive?
Quit playing with your face, wash often, have clean sheets - especially the pillow case.

See a dermatologist
Reply:You should go see a doctor. I used something that broke out my skin really bad, so I went to the doctors and they told me which products to use for my skin. Maybe a deurmatologist can help?
Reply:i used to have the SAME EXACT PROBLEMS AS YOU. what i used/use to control my acne is pretty simple. In the beginning, when it was really bad, i washed my face with Clearasil acne clearing scrub. After most of my bad pimples went away, i started washing it with oil of olay foaming face wash. its really gentle and wont upset your skin. for spot treatment creams, try clean and clear persa gel 10. its the best one i've ever tried, and believe me, i've tried a lot of creams. good luck :)
Reply:I'd really consider seeing a doctor so

you can benefit from the right treatment

and get rid of it once and for all. There

are so many different products that

would clear it up without further frustration

and searching for the right cure.
Reply:ask a dermatologist coz they can give you the facts about you skin.. n treat whatever is needed..
Reply:you no my skin has been very sensitive all my life i have been using alphahydroxy foaming face wash for years and no soap and i tell you i have not had one pimple in years also it would not hurt to go see a dermatologist they can help out really good i also have rosesatia that's red spots on your cheeks so i use metrojel on that area works great good luck.
Reply:Make sure you're using oil-free products, and try products that say they're made for sensitive skin. There's a L'Oreal three-step acne fighting system that works pretty good, but the lotion it comes with can be very drying (especially for sensitive skin), so only use that lotion at night. But use the facewash and toner twice a day, and in the morning follow with an oil-free moisturizer that also fights pimples, such as Clean %26amp; Clear dual action moisturizer. You won't see results for about a week or two, but if after two weeks you still don't see your skin clearing, go see a dermatologist. He/she may prescribe you with Accutane, which is an oral medication for serious cases of acne that you take for about six months which I believe slows down the oil production of your skin. It works miracles, but can have bad side effects such as major drying out of the skin. It has also been linked to depression though, so make sure you talk to your doctor about that. Good luck! :-)

Yes... many things can turn sensative skin normal and normal skin sensative and this can fluxuate over a lifetime. For instance diet has an effect, age has an effect, allergies, overall health, even where you live can effect the sensativety of your skin.

I would suggest doing some research and seeing a dermatologist to find out if there is anything you can change to help you. Sometimes all it takes is a change in diet or a vitamin. My stepfather had a similar problem and so he did just that, changed his diet and the problem is gone.
Reply:that's called rosacea. Look it up. My mom has lupus and she used to get it on her face. But she is older now, it hardly ever happens, unless she goes into the sun. (Even for just a few minutes.)
Reply:I have always had it. I can never wear cheap jewelry. But in someplaces it has gotten tougher. Like wear my poant bottons sit.
Reply:Yes you might, or it may be caused by something you are eating,or the soap you use.It maybe your age and a phase your going through.Go see a dermatologist. You can get cream and or pills that will help you now.

Best foundation for fair sensitive skin??

I have very fair, and sensitive skin and I am looking for a really good tinted moisturizer/ sheer foundation that I can wear without irritating my sensitive skin. Hopefully someone has some answers! Thanks everyone!!

Best foundation for fair sensitive skin??
bare minerals by bare escentuals is the absolute best make-up i've found in over 25 years. my skin is dry, fair, and super-sensitive. it is the only brand recommended by the national skincancer foundation, because it is actually good for the skin %26amp; has a natural spf 15. check it out for yourself at any ulta, sephora, macy"s, or nordstrom store, to see how it works on your skin, before you buy.
Reply:Try bare minerals
Reply:Mary Kay Tinted Moisturizer Ivory 1.

Let me know if you need a consultant.
Reply:High-end and recommended by most dermatologists is Clinique. For a drug store product that doesn't cost as much Physicians Formula or Almay.
Reply:LORAC!!!

Reply:You need the Liquid Mineral Foundation by Bee-Luscious Cosmetics. It is oil free and does NOT contain any bismuth. Bare minerals has both of these in their ingredients. This product is hypoallergenic.

Good acne treatment for sensitive, oily skin?

I have oily skin, but it is also very sensitive. I have been using Proactiv for awhile, but it is expensive and I think it is a little harsh on my skin (although it does a pretty good job of clearing up the acne).

What products should I try that will work well with sensitive skin by still take care of the oil and blemishes?

Thanks.

Good acne treatment for sensitive, oily skin?
Actually diet has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with acne. It is caused by fluctuating hormones.

If you like proactive there is a product that has the exact same ingredients and same regimen for use but is WAY cheaper. It is called acnefree and you can get it al Wal-Mart. Check out the website www.acnefree.com.

Also, if you are a woman, I would ask your dr. to test your androgen levels. If these hormone levels are too high they could be contributing to your acne. There are prescription drugs like YAZ and Diane35/Dianette that can help control this problem.

Good luck!
Reply:any product which have glycolic acid
Reply:water is the best thing. chemical is the last thing you want around your body
Reply:I HAVE THE SAME SKIN!!try biotherm,it really worx!!!
Reply:um ya stick with proactive. i love it. you should too.
Reply:Yeah proactive but I find that the Lush pink face soap does the same thing. I is less expensive and tottaly natural. I have had girlfriends use it and say the same you'll need to find a good toner and moisturizer to match your skin there but belive me it is awsome. They will know what you want if you go in and ask for the pink face soap. It has tea tree oil and really fine minerals that really dig deep and detox
Reply:Hi there, I'm gonna be a little harsh but please don't take offense... Do you eat with your face (meaning do you touch your face while eating) You need to be careful when eating greasy foods(pizza, fried chicken,etc...) Keep in mind that diet and family history plays a big role to all acne sufferers... Also don't forget about that stage in life we all go through pueberty.
Reply:When I was a teenager I had the same skin. I thought that if I used harsh, medicated soaps, that the acne would get better. I probably just made it worse, though. I would suggest just washing with a regular facial cleanser, not medicated. I actually just use Johnson's milk baby wash on my face because it is so gentle. Then, to clear up the acne, just apply a dab of an acne mask (or another product designed to spot clear acne) to each spot at night, then gently wash it off in the morning. That should help to dry them up. Wash your face with the gentle cleanser twice a day. Also, a big problem contributing to acne can be dirty pillow cases and blankets. Make sure to change to a newly washed pillow case every couple days. And wash any blankets that touch your face often.
Reply:Try clean and clear for sensitive skin I've used it and it works, I have also used Avon sensitive skin products (and oily skin products too), Noxema works great in the winter if you are outdoors a lot especially if your skin gets really dry in the winter. Good luck! Just watch for salicylic acid which helps aid in the drying up of acne. I've also enclosed a link to cleansing skin without buying expensive cleansers too. Hope this helps!

Reply:I have very sensitive and oily skin. Clinique has a good skin care line, as well as make up that doesn't seem to clog my pores. I also us Differin Gel perscribed by my doctor. I found that it was harsh and dried out my skin too much, but I figured out that if I used it immediately after I get out of the shower %26amp; use a bit of water to thin it out it works wonders. I can't survive without it, and by thinning it down a little it last much longer which is a very good thing since it is a bit pricy.
Reply:use salysic acid stay away from benzo peroxide
Reply:Sea buckthorn oil is brilliant at helping heal %26amp; prevent lots of bad skin problems..... I get mine from here... http://www.rosacea-remedy.com - although the website is selling it as a rosacea treatment it's still pure sea buckthorn oil and most other websites i've found, only sell heavily diluted sea buckthorn.

It's also used for healing burns, exzma , as a natural rosacea treatment, scar prevention, acne treatment, anti-aging (is packed full of anti-oxidants and vitamins) and all sorts of other conditions. It has some incredible and rare chemical properties which you can read about here - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sea_bucktho...

It's so potent %26amp; is currently being tested in labs for the potential benefits it may have in healing cancer also. Amazing stuff and what's great is it's 100% natural - no chemicals at all.

Reply:Studies show that an estimated 80 % percent of people experience acne at some point. No one knows exactly what the cause of acne is, but there are a few theories.

Let´s take a look at 7 of them:

1. Acne normally begins between the ages of eleven and thirteen.

This is true in both males and females due to changes in hormone levels. These hormones, called androgens, will enlarge the facial glands. The oil produced by the glands is known as sebum. The hair follicles shed dead cells too quickly and the cells and sebum form a blockage in the gland.

2. Pressure and rubbing from tight garments.

Adult with acne should avoid tight-collared shirts that might irritate the acne further. Adult athletes may notice an outbreak of acne from equipment such as backpacks or athletic helmets.

3. Acne can also be caused by genetics.

Studies have shown that a family history of acne can affect whether you have acne and the severity of it. So if your mother or father had acne as a teen, chances are that it will be a contributory factor to the cause of your acne.

4. Factors linked to women

Women have several factors that men don't that can be linked to the cause of acne. Women go through several phases of life that cause their hormone levels to change. These changes can cause acne in adult women between two and seven days before their menstrual cycle.

5. Pregnancy and hormones

Pregnant women also experience a fluctuation in hormones.

Those who may have previously had little or no acne may see pimples during their pregnancy and for a time after the birth of the baby until the hormone levels return to normal.

6. Menopause and hormones

Menopause will cause changes in hormone levels for woman and can be a cause of acne. Women also tend to wear heavy makeup when experience an acne outbreak, which only worsens the problem by further clogging pores.

7.Stress.

Especially in adults, stress can be another cause of acne. When you are stressed, the hormone cortisol is produced.

Cortisol will worsen any acne you already have. To prevent stress-related acne, try relaxation and meditation.

Some adults experience acne from picking at blemishes on their skin. You should never pick at or squeeze a pimple, blackhead or any other blemish on your face.

This can only cause more acne and possibly an infection. When cleaning your face, avoid harsh facial cleansers(they cause the creation of more sebum) and scrubbing your face too vigorously.

Acne treatments

The sad part is that most of the acne products are sold over the counter for treatment.

Most over-the-counter acne treatments are topical and come in the form of a cream, soap, lotion or gel.

Acne products normally contain benzoyl peroxide (good for killing the bacteria and possibly reducing oil production), sulfur (helps eliminate blackheads and whiteheads) and/or salicylic acid (cuts down the speed of cell lose).

More severe cases may require prescription acne medicine that is topical or oral.

Oral acne medication can help reduce both the growth of the bacteria and inflammation of glands.
Reply:like what was said, chemicals should be the last thing on your mind....because of your sensitive skin.... you should try to make an ice cube from clean(and if you want you could use a mineralized) water. after that lightly scrub that on your face. it really takes care of the oil and some blemishes would go away after a week or so.. it really works.... me and my friends use it...
