Dove Sensitive Skin or Cetaphil?

Which would you recommend? I have about 3 pimples and I want to stop the breakouts, I have very sensitive skin and proactiv does not work for me after 6 months of use. Which facial cleanser would you recommend out the 2 I posted?

Dove Sensitive Skin or Cetaphil?
Like you I have sensitive and acne-prone skin. Having tried several cleansers, I have found that Cetaphil is the best. It is a very gentle cleanser without any dyes or added frangrances which are often the cause of breakouts in the first place. Depending on the cleanser you were using before, that could have been the reason why. I suggest using Cetaphil in the morning and night time and then following with some sort of acne medication such as salicylic acid wipes, preferably ones made for sensitive skin such as Stridex Pads with Aloe. This will treat current pimples and help to prevent future ones. Then, follow that with applying benzoyl peroxide to any spots you may have. I suggest Clearasil Ulta Vanishing Cream. It works wonders for me. Hope this helps!
Reply:same here. i use cetaphil
Reply:I found that Dove made me break out in a rash. I love Cetaphil. It cleanses really well without drying your skin.
Reply:Cetaphil. It's the best!
Reply:well you already have some feedback but maybe more wont hurt, i agree with the girls here... cetaphil all the way!(i actually get the knock off brand for 3 or 4 bucks and i swear it is the same stuff... my stepmom taught me that) also i have recently turned my husband on to it too, and he loves the moisturizer as well.... that is something i have not been able to find the generic brand of, but it is well worth the 11 dollars for the huge tub of it! lasts fo eva!!! good luck!
Reply:cetaphil i have used it bfor
Reply:I also have extremely sensitive skin and have tried Cetaphil but it made my skin red and irritated and dry. I have never tried Dove though. I use Ivory bar soap. Out of everything I tried, it's the only thing that has never bothered my skin. And it also helped with the few breakouts that I would get. I assume it's because it is more natural that other soaps. They also claim that the soap floats because it is more pure and doesn't contain all of the other fillers that other soaps have. Whatever the reason, it works for me. And I no longer have the red burning peeling skin that I got from everything else. Good Luck!
Reply:cetaphil. a dermatologist recommended that for me, and it says on the label "recommended by dermatologist's". You shouldn't leave it on your skin too long though because it'll dry out a bit.
Reply:they say cetaphil cause it's milder. i tried using dove. it still gave me pimples. try clearasil.
Reply:Certaphil!!!! but DON"T pay the price for it; go to any drugstore and you will see, right next to the Cetaphil, that store brand's version..same exact ingredients, lower price!!!!! look into it and save some bucks!!!!!!!!!!!!

camellia
