I have sensitive, acne-prone skin thats very light. Any1 know a foundation thats not cakey & hides blemishes?

Looking for a foundation that's oil-free, won't cake and streak. and covers blemishes well. Also, preferably one for sensitive skin that hides redness. I tried covergirl clean but couldn't find my shade (i have really fair skin), also tried covergirl continuous wear but again it was either too light or too orangey. Looked mask-ish.

Your best bet is to see a dermatologist and get the acne cleared up; acne covered up with makeup just looks like acne covered up with makeup.

As for the makeup, if you get a shade that is too light, buy the same kind in a darker shade and mix until you get the perfect match; you may need a third container in which to do this. I'm done this a number of times over the years rather than throw away a color that doesn't match my skin tone; save $!
Reply:Have you tried Maybelline Pure foundation? It is pretty sheer, so unfortunately it won't really hide blemishes, but because it's light, it shouldn't aggrivate your acne, and it's pretty gentle on the skin. I wish i could recommend something more, but this kind is the one i've tried. You may want to check out some products by Physician's formula too, they make things for sensitive and acne prone skin too. : )
Reply:i have light skin too! i use bare minerals.. and it works great.. they are like one of the only ones that has a foundation that matches my skin tone.. the color is called fair. it works great because it stays on all day and doesn't really cake and covers so well. using an oil free moisturizer or even the stuff you can buy from them to apply before you use the bare minerals helps it work even better.
Reply:i use covergirl's liquid-to-powder foundation.

its not a liquid, but its not dry powder.

it hides everything really well, and with the right shade it blends in perfectly without looking cakey.

its in an dark indigo blue/purple oblong plastic case thing and has a little "cg" at the bottom. my fave stuff ever.

hope i helped!

Reply:I would suggest you consider an all natural mineral makeup. I would stay away from bare minerals as it contains bismuth, a known skin irritant. It will cause issues with your blemishes. We found that out the hard way when my daughter broke out from it. You also want to stay away from any makeup that contains fillers like talc, cornstarch or rice powder, ingredients that do absolutely nothing for your skin.

My daughter and I use kms mineral essentials. It is an all natural makeup. We have been using it for over a year since my daughter's dermatologist reccommended it. It contains zinc oxide which acts as a healing ingredient. It also contains kaolin clay which is a great natural oil absorber. (my daughter uses the foundation plus the mineral veil as the veil helps in absorbing the oil even more than the foundation. This makeup lasts all day and then some. It is sweat/water proof, has built in sun protection, and gives us that flawless airbrushed finish.

The concealer works wonders at covering blemishes, uneven skin tone and the dark circles under the eyes. If anyone knew what we really looked like underneath! It is amazing that a makeup that can do so much feels feather light and doesn't cost us a fortune.

You can find kms on their website; www.kmsmineralessentials.com.

Good luck!

Reply:Instead wrap an ice cube in a fine cloth and apply it to the pimple for about 2-3 minutes, this will slow down its growth and help you get through the evening.Log on to http://tipsfromruby-blemishes.blogspot.c... will help you overcome the problem.
